Party time!

We had so much fun at Megan's birthday party the other night. The murder mystery theme was great, John was the one who died (or rather Jack Daniels the bartender) and Joe (Lifesaving Sam) killed him.

Caved...

Ok OK! I know that its like 5 1/2 months until we have this little one but I found a really nice crib for sale that I could not resist. John thought I was a little crazy wanting to get the crib this early but I just had to I don't know why I think I may be nesting a bit. Anyway, here it is... also... we found out what we are having!! We also caved with that too. I wanted to wait but we simply could not resist. I decided I don't think I am ever going to be able to be that patient :) I told alot of people at church today but for those of you who don't know...we will be adding to the estrogen pool in our home- we are having another GIRL! This time I really thought it would be a boy but I am really happy that it's a girl, I don't think I would know what to do with a boy, lol!

Silly!

Jenna is such a goof sometimes but just so darn cute! She is so loveable and smiley. She was eating lunch a few days ago and decided she wanted to play with her foot while doing so. She just pulled her foot right up in her face and started smiling and laughing, she is pretty flexible. She made John and I laugh so hard, it was too funny! These pictures are priceless!

Sick girls

A few weekends ago both of my girl's came down with really bad fevers and tummy aches. We took them to an immediate care place because it was a Saturday and like 2 hours later (after making an appointment) they told us they had viruses. So for the entire week afterwards all I did was stay home and care for 2 sick kids with tummy aches, let me tell ya- it was a ton of fun! During the weekend Abbi would just fall asleep randomly and one time I caught a pic of her, it was too cute and she looks so peaceful I had to share.

A great story

I need to document another story about my beautiful little girl, Abbi.

Night before last, we all gathered together...

Wait, I should start before that. A couple of months ago Abbi started sleeping in her "big girl bed" (not her crib). At the time, she had a bad habit of getting out of her bed and not going to sleep. So, we flipped the handle to her door around and locked her in her room and it has worked well since then. She stopped getting out of bed when she figured out she couldn't get out of her room.

So night before last we all (the four of us) gathered together in Abbi's room to read "scriptures" (bible stories) and say prayers. Without Jamiee or I noticing that she had done so, Abbi quietly flipped the lock on the door handle to lock and shut the door with all of us inside her room. We didn't notice until we got done with prayers and got up to take Jenna to her room. Jamiee then turns to me and says, "Guess what your child did" as she jiggles the door handle and the door refuses to open.

I whip around and look at Abbi and ask "Did you lock the door?! Did you lock the door?!?!" At which Abbi sheepishly looks up and shakes her head yes. I look back at Jamiee as she says, "How are we gonna get out of here?!?!" I have no answer so I start rummaging around through the closet and dresser drawers and find a pair of Jamiee's old sunglasses. "Hey! I've been wondering where those were!" Jamiee says. "Say goodbye because I'm about to break them," I say. "NO!" Jamiee says and then she looks at my head and sees my bluetooth headset on my ear. "Call Kathy," she says. Kathy was headed over anyway to have me look at her car. So I call Kathy and tell her we need her to rescue us. She shows up about five minutes later and lets us out of our pink prison and laughs at us, deservedly so.

End of story. We'll be putting a key inside Abbi's room on top of the door trim.

Moral of the story: I dunno. It was really funny in retrospect.

Book #3 down! 1 more to go!

I just completed the 3rd book in the Twilight series,"Eclipse". I really was really wanting to pace myself on this one because I knew the 4th and final book does not come out until August and that is a long while away- Oh-well. It was very good but very frustrating to read (those of you who have read them know why) but I have to say I am very anxiously awaiting the last book that decides Bella and Edward's fate. I am seriously going to miss reading these books because they are really addicting and awesome!

Our little one *update*

Today I had my 11 1/2 week (second appointment) and it was a little scary at first because the Doc could not find a heartbeat. He prescribed strong prenatal vitamins for me to take after trying to unsuccessfully locate the heartbeat. I left feeling sort of scared and worried because he had mentioned if I had any cramping or other signs of a miscarriage call him right away. So, needless to say I was nervous. I called the Doc office like maybe an hour later to get my prenatal vitamins called in mail order because our insurance is weird like that and talked to the nurse about my concern and she told me she would discuss it with the doc and call me back. Well, Doc. Windom called me back himself to try and ease my worries and told me to come back for and ultrasound to make sure everything was OK because he was a bit concerned too. Well, I went back in and the ultrasound revealed a perfectly healthy baby. The little stinker was moving around so much that the ultrasound tech commented "this one is hyper.." and it took her a minute to pinpoint the heartbeat, it was swimming all over the place. I guess it must have been that juice I drank before I left, he he :) Anyway, I got to get a pic of the baby and I wanted to share.

I am a FAN!

Those of you that know me very well at all know that I am NOT at ALL a reader. I think the last book I read was in high school and the last one I read for pleasure was an attempt at a Harry Potter book a year or so ago..of which I only got about 20 pages into after a month and gave up. I really do love Harry Potter too so that just proves more that I just hate reading. Well anyway, I had been hearing of this book called "Twilight" from a few members in our ward I think that's the only place I had heard of it mainly because the writer Stephanie Meyer is a member too. Well, anyway, I was at my sister-in-law's for a mother's day get together when Kathy was reading the second book in the series of Twilight books (4 total). She said I could borrow the first one and I was like OK, I will try to read it (John meanwhile was making a "ha, yeah right" sound under his breath smiling). So, she brought it over Tuesday of this week (that night) and I began to read a few pages and found myself so engrossed in the book I think I was at page 20 within like 15 minutes and then we went to bed. Well, I have finished the 497 page book this morning (it's Friday). What can I say.. the book was AWESOME! I stayed up every night late reading and every free moment reading. I loved it and now I know why it was a New York Times best seller and such a hit among women in our ward. I cannot wait until Kathy brings by the second book tomorrow! :) Anyway, there is also a movie coming out in December based off of the first book I just read and I am thrilled.. I cannot wait until it comes out I was telling my mom it comes out like a week or so after I am due with baby #3 and I will be there at the midnight showing with Kathy or someone else willing to go.

Here are a few links for the trailer for the movie and also to Stephanie Meyer's website.

Trike

One of the presents we bought Abbi for her birthday was a trike. She really does like it alot. At first she did not really know what to do with the pedals but now she is getting quite good at using them. Here is a cute pic of her right after she first got the trike.
