Abbi's 2nd birthday

Abbi just turned two last week and we had lots of fun celebrating! We went out to dinner for mexican on her actual birthday and the waiters and waitresses all sang to her and brought her a dessert. She loved it when they all sang to her, she yelled "yea! yea!" and lit up- it was great. She also had a birthday party on saturday where she got lots of gifts and played with her cousin and another little girl from church who came with her parents. We had a happy feet themed party because she is in love with mumble..she says it all the time when she wants to watch the movie. She had a ton of fun, thanks to everyone for all the gifts and to all those who could make it for the party. Love you all!

We are buying a house!!

John and i are very excited because we are buying a house! Our lease is up on our house we are renting in canton at the end of june so we have been house hunting, we were at first looking in kennesaw and acworth area but we ended up going through a subdivision in dallas called Vista Lake and i immediately fell in love with it. It is a few minutes down 278 by sarah's. The nieghborhood has a huge junior olympic size pool, tennis courts, nature trails, and an actual lake in the back of the subdivision with a pavillion that people who live in the subdivision can boat on and fish! We went through several homes in the neighborhood that were all foreclosed and after a stressful almost 2 months of bidding and getting outbid on 3 homes we finally won the bid on the 4th and last forclosure available in the neighborhood. Its a great 2100 sq. foot home with 4 bdr. 2 1/2 baths. It does need some work on the inside (paint and some minor cosmetic repairs) and a new garage door on one side but other than that it looks like its going to be a great home. It was listed for $203,000 but we ended up getting it for 30,000 less than what it was listed- what a steal!

Fun at monkey joe's!

I was talking to a friend from church a few weeks ago and she told me about a place called monkey joe's. It is a huge indoor play place place where there are big inflatated slides and moonwalks for kids to jump and play on. We decided that we would take abbi there instead of the park since there was bad weather over the weekend and it was a ton of fun! Abbi was VERY scared at first, she would not leave our sides but after john took her down a few slides she could not stop smiling and was running everywhere, it was great. She was worn out for the rest of the weekend after we left, it was great! Here are a few of the good pics...

Baby Jenna is here

I know this may be a bit late in posting, but hey when you have two kids its hard to get much done. Better late than never :) Jenna Blair Shores got here on March 8th early in the morning (what is it with my kids and comming in the early morning?) and she weighed 9 Lbs!!! she was 21 inches long and had a head full of brown hair like her sister. She was very easy to deliver, mommy had an epidural and coasted through labor. We are so happy she is here, we are grateful to everyone for all of the gifts, thoughts, prayers.. we hope everything is going great in your lives.

New Job for John and baby news!!!

We are very excited to announce that john has gotten a job offer from Georgia Pacific. He recieved a call this morning with the news. He is very excited and we are very grateful to everyone for all your prayers and thoughts, we could not have done it without the support of family. He will be working in the HR service center and answering calls from employee's about GP benifits.

On another note: I had my doctor's appointment this morning and the induction date is set for wednesday. I am only 2 cm dialated and Jenna is weighing in at a whopping 8lbs 5 oz! She is gonna be a big girl! We are very excited for her arrival, hopefully she will come sooner than later. We will keep everyone updated in case she decides to make an appearance this weekend.

Baby Shower

Ashley decided she was going to throw a diapers and wipes themed baby shower for me. It was tons of fun hanging out with a few of my good friends and catching up. The highlight of the evening i have to say was megan's gross stories about what she has seen being a nurse over the past few years. Jenna got lots of wipes and diapers and she got some new outfits and a few bath items, it was great :) Now all we need is for her to get here. I go back to the doctor this week on friday and at that point i will be overdue and they will schedule an induction date. I will keep everyone informed, love you all!

Pregnancy Pictures

Hello all! We decided to take "pregnancy pictures" the other day for the fun of it and also i dont think i have let john take one picture of me while i have been pregnant this time :) We are excited for the new baby to get here, only 2 weeks left and counting (hopefully not any longer). I went to the doctor last week and i am dialated to 1cm and 50% effaced... so we will see this week how much progress i have made.

John, jamiee and abbi update

I thought this was a really cute idea to keep the family all updated on things happening with the shores IV family. Really no updates right now to post. We are just waiting for allison to get here, not too much longer, only about a month and a half. I went to the doctor thursday and he said my iron level was low and i needed to keep up with that by eating "iron rich foods" and he also mentioned that if i dont end up going on my due date they may try to push things along as much as possible since abbi was 9 days late. He said that if your first is that late expect your second to be pretty much the same way, but i am trying to be optimistic for a march 1st delivery.

John is still looking for new employment, thanks for everyone's prayers and thoughts. We are in desperate need of them. He is currently also looking for a second job so that we can at least afford to pay our bills. He has been bummed out lately about the whole thing, but we are scraping by and hanging on by strings. On another note: He still has not gotten his diploma, and is anxiously awaiting that. It should be arriving soon i hope- i know he has been wanting to hang it up.

Abbi is doing well, she is gaining weight- up to 22 1/2 lbs!! Yeah! She is a little piggy and finally is starting to get some meat on her bones to back it up... still a string bean but a little fuller of one. She is learing to talk a little more, but its very random and not really consistant. She has been growling alot, not sure why that is but its cute.

Other than that we are just looking forward to mom and dad moving back here so that abbi can get to know them alot better. I know john and me are also looking forward to spending more time with them too. Anyway- we hope everyone is doing great and we are keeping everyone in our prayers. Love you all!!
